MOL Food Hyd 68 is a synthetic hydraulic fluid produced from PAO (Polyalphaolefin) base oil and special additives, that can be used in food-grade lubricants. It is a category H1 product registered by NSF: "This product can be used as food-grade lubricant (H1) in the direct and indirect environment of food processing, where there is a possibility of incidental food contact." Compared with conventional minerl oil hydraulic fluids, its range of application temperatures is wider and its oxidation stability is better. It is recommended to wash out the system before the first filling, or to reduce the period of first oil change after filling in order to make sure that the outstanding lubricating ability of the liquid is retained, and that its non-toxic characteristics are ensured. This is particularly important if the system operated previouslywith a conventional (mineral oil based) lubricant.
